Women of the ELCA
A ministry for all women of the church. “As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in faith, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage in ministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the society, and the world.”
Women of the ELCA meet the first Monday of the month at 5:30 pm in the Parish Hall.
Quilters
The quilting group sews quilts to offer comfort to those who are receiving help from The Dream Center in Easley or under the care of Lutheran Hospice. The quilters meet on Friday mornings.
Choir
Worship services are enriched through the gift of music and song by the adult choir. Practices are held Tuesday nights and Sunday mornings.
S.H.I.N.E. Soup Kitchen
St. Matthias sends a crew to cook for and serve our neighbors in need. SHINE is located at The Dream Center, 111 Hillcrest Drive in Easley. We serve on the third Wednesdays and Thursdays of the month.
Bible Study
Pastor Sean leads Bible studies on many Sundays following Worship and Coffee Fellowship (Sunday School) which covers various parts of both the Old and New Testament. He also leads a midweek study on many Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. with a focus on a particular book or topic of the Bible. Both studies meet in the Church Office Conference Room.
